Not really even accurate though. It’s more like “buy a new car”.
It would be really nice if upgrading the engine was something the average person could just do. That’s feasible on EVs, but I’m guessing manufacturers and regulators block it.

In theory, yes, of course. It won’t bolt right in, obviously.
