that seems like a pretty random selection of things honestly, what qualifies as a cybersecurity tool? hows vivaldi a part of that? or openotp?

Setting aside my personal misgivings for a lot of the apps here, I don’t understand why in Vivaldi was included at all. It’s better than Chrome, maybe? Honestly, we don’t have a clue about weather Vivaldi or Chrome is more private, but we do have a whole web page from the Vivaldi developers about why they cannot make their project open source.

I don’t particularly believe their excuses.

In part, it’s because the excuses could be transposed to some degree onto Google Chrome, which itself is based on an open source project but also severely changed and differently branded.

Come to think of it, because their page of excuses is so poor, I think of Vivaldi in a negative sense compared to browsers even like Opera.

Another thing against Vivaldi is the fact they have convinced at least a few people, and almost convinced me, that they had the source code released… When they were simply releasing the Google Chrome engine with minimal changes.
