So who wants to help me Digg the grave for Reddit? /s

Sort of sad to see another online home fall but nothing lasts forever.

Spez is a loser with only millions, compared to his billionaire tech bros. This is the main reason he started ruining reddit in the past years, he is frustrated and wants to also become a billionaire like his buddies

In their minds, that’s literally it. They compare themselves to billionaires. Millionaires are just temporarily embarassed billionaires.

Why stop there? If I where reddit and we go with these kinds of decisions, I’d propose the use of LLMs to ban anything that consititutes negative statement including disagreements.

Yeah, I was banned for talking about suicidal thoughts, so they’re definitely going to ban me if I say Luigi Mangione is my hero and did a beautiful thing.

That’s wild. I joined Reddit when everyone left digg, so 2008ish. There used to be a sub called /r/suicidewatch where you could post those kinds of thoughts safely. There can obviously be some issues with that but what a change

Yeah, thank you. My post was really just a “if things get bad enough, I can always blow my brains out which gives me a strange sense of comfort” sort of thing and it was flagged as threats of violence… against myself I guess? Silly. I will of course do my best to not let things get to that point and try to look for the positives in life.

People saying Luigi is a hero but then defend the Democrats. Truly astonishing. Luigi’s actions are a call to systemic revolution. He is a god damn hero, and will probably go down as a martyr if the federal government gets their way.

Democrats aren’t perfect but we’d be in 92% better shape with one in the Whitehouse right now.

We? Who is we? The working class would still be exploited. We’d just have a President who is “nicer” about it. We need a revolution, because reform is damn near impossible now.

He is not a hero, but he is the first crack in the floodgates. Whoever he is, he is a first sign of people losing temper. And his ongoing defence in court is a vehicle to make important problems relevant. Not everyone can stand behind shooting a CEO, but his act introduced the long-silenced topic that is a common ground with MAGA people too, and that’s why corpo fuckers want to put it down.

I was going to say, “For what?” But then I remember that Nintendo just blasts lawsuits at anyone who remotely mentions something related to one of their IPs.

I’m surprised they haven’t sued Italy over their name since that is where Mario is from.

They recently sued a tiny convenience store in Costa Rica because it was called “Super Mario”, because in Costa Rica, any moderately large store is a “Super”, and the owner happened to be named “Mario” so… You can figure it out.

        Anyways, Nintendo lost that lawsuit

Fucking scary shit. Now, it is simply “liking” content Reddit doesn’t like. Soon, it will be upvoting things that the government doesn’t want you to see, or paints them in a bad light.
